San Martino di Castrozza – Colverde – Rosetta

Following the way to Colverde-Rosetta you will go by cable car up to Rifugio Colverde (with its restaurant-bar). Go then even further for about 20 minutes for reaching the Rosetta summit of about 2743 m high.

There is a cross there, from where you can see one of the most spectacular views of our mountains, the village of San Martino di Castrozza from above and also the entire vallley floor.

From the summit, you start going down following the trail n. 701 which leads to Rifugio Pedrotti, close to Rosetta. After a little break, go back and at the intersection which comes first the hill that takes you back to the cable car start. Follow on the right the signs to Rosetta Pass - Colverde - San Martino di Castrozza.

From there you begin the way down to Colverde, through trail n.701, very difficult and tricky where you need to have firm step and no dizziness and on the most critical points you will find parapets and metal fences.

Once at Colverde (1965m) after an hour and a half of walking, you continue along the ski slopes that sometimes go into the woods to finally reach the starting station of the cable car in San Martino di Castrozza.
