Refavaie Refuge – Cauriol Mount
Departure from the Hotel lobby in Trentino at 9.30 am with our guide who will accompany you by bus to Mezzano, Imer and taking the Totoga tunnel you reach up to Caoria (847m) following the road signposts. From here we go on by bus to the Refavaie Refuge (1116m) with accommodation and catering placed at the bottom of the Vanoi Valley.
A walk along trail no. 320 into the Woods until you reach the Mala ponds, begins here.
We continue towards Passo Sadole (2066m) along a path called the "Italian way".
This stretch is dangerous and you have to be careful in this crumbled and sometimes exposed ground.
Making a last effort you finally reach the Cauriol Hut, which is battered by bombing from the World War I. The landscape is magnificent and unforgettable during the beautiful days: Val di Fassa, Vanoi Valley, Latemar, Catinaccio, Sassolungo, Sella, Marmolada, Pale di San Martino di Castrozza, Lagorai and Cima d'asta, all as far as the eye can see.
You return through the same road backwards.
The route is suitable even in winter with snowshoes. After the strenuous hike, guests can reenergize with an afternoon snack tasting homemade cakes from our Chef and a good cup of tea.
