Caoria Town – Zortea Town

Departure from the Hotel lobby in Trentino at 9.30 am with our guide who will accompany you by bus to Mezzano, Imer and taking the Totoga tunnel you reach up to Caoria (847m) following the road signposts. From here proceed as per Tour no. 30, arriving at Ponte Stel where you can make a stop at Bar in Siega.

Cross the bridge at the intersection Valsorda Valzanca, turn right to the forest road that goes to Valsorda. Following the signposts to Malga Valsorda Alta you wil go across a very steep uphill until you reach the Hut (1824 m).

You can stop for a while here, to admire the beautiful landscape of the area.

Then we restart following the path no. 390 that, among meadows and sparse forests, leads to Forcella Valsorda (2095m).

You go up to a very high altitude where the landscape offers a unique panorama, indescribable views, rich in mountains and war works.

Here the descent to the paved trail n° 344 starts, along the Zortei Valley, which, crossing vast pastures and woodland punctuated by barns and farmhouses, leads to the final destination: Zortea (1027m).

The return to Caoria, can be done by bus. The route is suitable for mountain bike riding, too.
