Caoria – Malga Miesnotta di Sopra

Departure from the Hotel lobby in Trentino at 9.30 am with our guide who will accompany you by bus to Mezzano, Imer and taking the Totoga tunnel you reach up to Caoria (847m) following the road signposts. From here proceed to road no. 30, arriving at Ponte Stel where you can make a stop at the refreshment Bar in Siega.

Crossing over the bridge you come to the Valsorda Valzanca intersection, where you continue on the forest road No. 368 of Valzanca until you reach the Malga Piane in Valzanca and continue until you find an table indicating "Foret domaniale de Valzanca".

Later, at about 500 meters, you will find a crossroad, take the left road n° 336 with signposts to Malga Miesnotta, it continues in a steep climb that passes through a dense forest and then opens to lead to sparse pastures leading to Malga Miesnotta on the way and, finally, to Malga Miesnotta di Sopra (1879m).

This alpine hut is unattended but recently was restored to allow a break for exhausted hikers, and it´s possible even for those most in need to spend the night (you must check with the Park Authority about how to use it). The hut is situated on a site of magnificent view: Cima Cece offers a unique panorama, this area is also rich in animals that are easily seen. Suitable route for mountain bike riding, too. Upon your return, expect a relaxing afternoon in our Wellness Center.
